The Australian Federal Government are still reviewing the age limitations for the Working Holiday visa subclass 417. They are currently discussing the possibility of extending the age limitation to 35 years old.
Although the legislation is under review, the age limitation for the subclass 417 has not changed and remains capped at 31 years old for people intending to apply for the Working Holiday Visa.
The Australian Federal Government have not provided a definite time frame as to when the review will be finalised.
The Department of Immigration make changes to a number of Visas each year on July 1st. If this proposed age limit change and other changes are going to be introduced, it is likely that it will on July 1st.
If you are already in Australia, 31 Years or older and would to remain in Australia, you may have other visa options.
Take a look at the requirements for the below visas and contact us if you think you might be eligible to apply.
